HOW JESUS IMPACTS OUR VIEW OF CULTURE

Jesus should impact our view of culture, not the other way around. He is unchanging and constant. His Word doesn’t evolve because culture thinks it should.

What does that mean in relation to the LGBT community? Jesus also told us to love, but how do we love people that don’t want to hear the truth?

It’s not an easy answer, but Messy Grace uses the true testimonies of 5 highly regarded voices on this topic to help you discover how Jesus approached this tension.

Sam Allberry is attracted to the same sex, but views homosexuality as sin. He lives a celibate life and is a pastor in the UK. Sam is also a speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, an editor for The Gospel Coalition, and the author of Is God Anti-Gay?

Jackie Hill Perry was in a relationship with another woman when God woke her up to His word. Today, she is known as wife to Preston and mommy to Eden. Jackie is a writer, musician and speaker. She has been featured in The Washington Times, The 700 Club, Desiring God, and The Gospel Coalition.

Margaret Philbrick chronicled her experience of watching her agnostic brother become a woman. She described it as the greatest test of her faith as she learned to balance love for her brother with the truth of God’s word. Margaret’s transgender sister, Carly, joins her in Messy Grace as they share their story.

Michael Salinas is a college student at Texas A&M who struggles with same sex attraction. When his pastor attempted to “pray the gay away” and it didn’t work, Michael was hurt and confused, but diligently sought after the Lord. Michael has found a deep and profound relationship with Jesus through his suffering and offers wisdom beyond his years.
